C2 Commercial Cleaning Pty Ltd (ABN 37 683 968 916) (C2, we, us or our) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information through our website, quote process, cleaning services and related communications.

C2 operates in Melbourne, Victoria. This policy is designed to support transparent information handling and to align with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply. It does not limit any privacy right you may have under applicable law.

1. What is personal information?

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. In a commercial context, it can include the name, work email address, telephone number or other contact details of a client representative, supplier, contractor or website visitor.

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • contact and business details, such as your name, job title, company name, email address, phone number and preferred contact method;
  • quote and service information, such as workplace location, service requirements, cleaning frequency, site size, operating hours, access arrangements and correspondence;
  • transaction and account information, such as invoices, payment status and records needed to administer our commercial relationship;
  • communications and feedback, including emails, telephone notes, enquiry forms, complaints and service feedback; and
  • website and technical information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie preferences and interaction data collected through cookies or similar technologies where enabled.

We do not intentionally ask you to provide sensitive information through our website forms. Please do not include health information, identity documents, passwords, access credentials or other sensitive personal information in an online enquiry unless we have specifically asked for it and provided a secure way to send it.

3. How we collect personal information

We collect personal information directly from you when you submit a form, request a quote, contact us by phone or email, meet with us, engage our services, provide feedback or otherwise communicate with us. We may also collect information from your employer or organisation where you are nominated as a contact person, and from publicly available sources where this is reasonably necessary for business administration.

4. Why we collect, use and disclose personal information

We may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and prepare, manage or revise a quote;
  • deliver, coordinate and improve cleaning services;
  • manage service schedules, building access, site safety and communications;
  • issue invoices, process payments and administer accounts;
  • respond to service concerns, complaints, requests and legal obligations;
  • protect the security and proper operation of our website, systems and business;
  • measure and improve website performance, where analytics tools are enabled; and
  • send service updates or marketing communications where permitted by law and in accordance with your preferences.

5. Direct marketing

C2 may send business-related service updates or promotional messages by email or SMS only where permitted by law. We will not add a person to a marketing list merely because they submit a one-off enquiry, unless they have given consent or another lawful basis applies.

Every marketing message will identify C2 and provide a clear way to unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe facility in the message or by contacting us at info@c2commercialcleaning.com.au. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service, invoice or account communications.

6. Who we may disclose personal information to

We may disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to:

  • our employees, authorised contractors and cleaning personnel who need the information to provide or coordinate services;
  • professional advisers, insurers, debt recovery providers and legal or regulatory authorities where necessary or required by law;
  • service providers that support our business, such as website hosting, form processing, email, IT support, accounting, payment, customer relationship management and analytics providers; and
  • a purchaser or prospective purchaser of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or customer lists.

7. Overseas disclosures

Some of our technology or service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia.

Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply and we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, we will take reasonable steps in the circumstances to protect that information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements. If you have a privacy concern or complaint, please contact us at info@c2commercialcleaning.com.au with “Privacy Complaint” in the subject line. Please describe the issue and provide contact details so we can respond.

We will acknowledge your complaint as soon as reasonably practicable and aim to investigate and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

12. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs, we will take reasonable steps to contain, assess and respond to the incident. Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies and an eligible data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required by law.

13. Third-party sites and social media

Our website may link to third-party websites or social-media platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing information.
